The Archive Room
The Archive Room was an evening of reflection, storytelling and cultural preservation - led by Sessi K + dr. lanaire aderemi + Uzoma Orji , a collective committed to honouring how Nigerians document their world. 🗂️ We screened two short films: 🎥’record found here’ by dr. lanaire aderemi 🎥 The Nigerian Textile Industry by Clearly Invincible and Sessi K opening up conversations on labour, infrastructure and heritage continuity We also hosted a digital archiving workshop led by Uzoma Orji , building on lessons learned from uzoma.studio work digitising archives in 🇳🇬 afrosonic brought the event together with a curated playlist celebrating Nigerian memory Our time capsule curated during the night has made its way from London to Nigeria, so our community can continue interacting with it before it is finally archived 🗃️
